Before notifications, before endless scrolling, and before our lives became so connected that we somehow began to feel disconnected, there was something wonderfully ordinary about opening the mailbox and finding a handwritten letter waiting inside just for you.

Enchanted Postmark was created to help bring a little of that magic back.
Hi, I'm Tara Joy
I'm a graphic designer, artist, lifelong stationery enthusiast, and someone who has loved snail mail for as long as I can remember.
As a teenager, I collected postage stamps and eagerly checked the mailbox, hoping for letters from family, friends, and eventually pen pals from around the world. Every envelope felt like a tiny adventure. I loved wondering where it had travelled, admiring the stamps and postmarks, and carefully saving the cards and letters I received in a shoebox.
That love of paper, design, storytelling, and meaningful correspondence quietly shaped the creative path I would follow for the rest of my life.
Years later, after building a career as a graphic designer building brands and websites, I realized something was missing.
My mailbox had become filled with bills, advertisements, and parcel slips—but very little that invited me to pause, smile, or feel connected. Nothing handwritten or created by hand.
I missed the excitement of receiving something created simply to brighten someone's day. So I decided to create the kind of mail I wished someone would send me.
That's how Enchanted Postmark began.

Each collection is built around its own theme inspired by birds, nature, literature, seasonal change, travel, creativity, snail mail correspondence or everyday wonder.
A favourite quote, a meaningful story, new postcard designs, and even the surprise item are all thoughtfully chosen to create a complete experience.
Many members enjoy keeping the prints, collecting the postcards, displaying the artwork, or using them in journals, vision boards, or future letters to friends.

One of the things that makes Enchanted Postmark different is that every collection begins as original artwork created here in Nova Scotia.
After each month's designs are complete, they're printed by trusted Canadian printing partners, The Printing House & Papaya, before returning to my studio, where every envelope is assembled by hand.
Every mailing is packed with care before beginning its own journey through Canada Post and postal systems around the world.
Supporting Enchanted Postmark also supports Canadian printing, independent artists, and the enduring tradition of beautifully designed paper goods.

Why birds?
